  • LEVEL 1 HOUSE KEEPING OPERATIONS

In order to obtain this award, a minimum of 15 credits is required to be archived as follows:- 10 credits from the Mandatory Units and 5 credits from the Optional Units

11        Carry out routine and periodic deep cleaning of guest room

12        Clean and service a range of areas

13        Use of different chemicals and equipment in housekeeping.

 

  • LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE IN HOUSE KEEPING OPERATIONS

In order to obtain this award, a minimum of 26 credits is required to be archived as follows:- 9 credits from the Mandatory Units and 17 credits from the Optional Units

1          Maintain a safe, hygienic and Secure Environment

2          Work effectively as part of a Hospitality Team

3          Communication System in a Work environment

5          Clean and service a range of areas

6          Use of different chemicals and equipment in housekeeping.

7          Clean, maintain and protect semi-hard and hard floors

8          Cleaning of commercial and residential windows from inside

10        Collect linen and make beds

11        Assist to clean and maintain public area

12        Carry out routine and periodic deep cleaning of guest room

13        Carry out schedule routine maintenance, repairs and replacements

14        Contribute to the planning and implementation of emergency response procedures

15        Observe people

16        Ethics in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sectors

17        Employment rights and responsibilities in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sectors

 

  • NSQ LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA HOUSE KEEPING MANAGEMENT

This course consists of competencies a learner must achieve in order to supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of guestrooms and public areas in hotels and other types of lodging facilities. It includes competencies on housekeeping such as planning and scheduling routine maintenance, repairs and replacements, contributing to the implementation of emergency procedures, storing valuable items and monitoring people.

A learner who has achieved this qualification is competent to be housekeeping supervisor or floor supervisor.

In order to obtain this certificate, a minimum of 36 credits is required from:

Mandatory Units with a total of 7 credits and 29 credits from Optional Units
